We started GadgetKitchenReviews with one goal: help everyday home cooks cut through the noise and find kitchen appliances that actually work — without spending hours reading conflicting reviews across a dozen different websites.
Our particular focus is on compact kitchens, apartment living, and Asian-American home cooking — categories chronically underserved by mainstream review sites.
Meet Sarah Mitchell
Sarah Mitchell is the founder and lead researcher at GadgetKitchenReviews. She has been cooking Asian food at home for over 15 years, having lived in Japan for two years and traveled extensively across East and Southeast Asia. She holds a culinary arts certificate from the International Culinary Center and started GadgetKitchenReviews in 2024 after growing frustrated with generic appliance reviews that ignored the specific needs of Asian cooking.
She tests every appliance in her own kitchen cooking the same dishes she makes weekly — congee, stir-fries, dim sum, ramen broth, and everyday rice. When hands-on testing is not possible, she clearly discloses that the evaluation is based on specification analysis and verified buyer review synthesis.
